Helios Mandala was designed with traditional draftingHelios is an abstract pen and ink drawing. The drawing is inspired by my interest in machines, mechanical design, symmetry, structure and geometry. Helios is also a revision of two earlier drawings, Prophet and Tambora. I borrowed elements from these two drawings and re arranged them so that the drawing is split in half. The original size is 14" x 17". The initial design was created using a pencil, compass, ruler and protractor. Once the design was
